TAILORED TO YOU
We’re a small team here, and that’s so we can focus on what’s important: making you feel loved, and helping you have the most incredible wedding experience imaginable.
I understand: choosing your photographer is a big decision, and you want to make sure you’re choosing not only a photographic style you love, but someone who will go the extra mile for you. You want a photographer who notices the little things, and above all, someone who you’re comfortable around – someone who you want to be friends with.

KIND WORDS
FAQs
What's your photographic approach?
My goal is for you to feel like there's a friend with you who happens to be taking photos; the trust and rapport we build together allows us to build that mutual comfort-level and let you relax and open up in front of the camera. While I give direction as desired or needed, I do so to lead you into natural moments where your personalities shine in the photos.
Read more about my approach and your experience working together in the Philosophy page.
Why don't you offer pricing packages?
You and your celebration are unique. Rather than fit couples into set 'packages', our coverage is tailored to your celebration or session. For weddings, the number of hours, size, and scope of your wedding are taken into account. Contact me for more information and so we can discuss your specific day and vision.
Do you work with a second photographer?
I always shoot wedding days with at least two photographers. This should be as non-negotiable to you as it is for us, as no moment should be overlooked. I take pride in bringing excitement and energy and a 100% commitment to your happiness from every member of your wedding day team.
How long have you been shooting?
I've been photographing weddings for over ten years now, having shot - quite literally - hundreds of events, each one special and unique.
Do you shoot film or digital?
I shoot both film & digital. You want photos that will look as stunning fifteen year years from now as they do today, which is why we do not limit ourselves to one medium.
Using the right tool for the job - both for aesthetics and workflow - gives you better images and the best experience.
Do I get photo-printing rights?
Wedding photos are a keepsake and a documentation of your memory; I feel strongly about the ability to print photos, and because of this you forever have the right to download and print any image we deliver at no additional cost.
Do you travel for weddings?
From just down the road to across the globe, I'm always ready and excited to travel with you.
Our destinations have included New England Gilded Age mansions to Irish castles, world-famous botanical gardens to Southwest canyons. While Philly will always be my home town, your wedding anywhere in the world is just a plane ride away.
Do you offer albums?
Your photos are your memories, and just like that 8-month-old unread email in your inbox, they shouldn't be buried on a computer.
I work with the best album company in the world (that's not hyperbole) who is exclusive to fewer than 100 photographers worldwide, to ensure your photos are preserved in the best possible way. From archival-quality papers to proprietary stain-proof linen and scratch-resistant leather covers, your album will be a treasure passed through generations.
Do you offer videography?
I choose to focus 100% of my efforts in creating beautiful and meaningful images, giving you my undivided attention. Thus, I do not offer videography services, however I have a small group of videographers I can recommend whose work is not only stunning, but who are excellent people who will go above and beyond for you two.
What equipment do you use?
I use 'the right tool for the job', this can include 35mm film, 645 or 6x6 Fujifilm and Hasselblad medium format film cameras, Nikon digital cameras, and constant and flash lighting equipment. I have backup equipment and your wedding photos are recorded in duplicate as I shoot, and then backed up, in no fewer than 5 locations, after the wedding day to our own server and proprietary cloud
Do you have a backup plan if you get sick or have an emergency?
I want you to have peace of mind during the wedding planning process, and just as I have equipment backups, I have people-backups as well. If an unforeseen circumstance were to prevent me from photographing your wedding day, your second shooter will assume the role of lead shooter and another member from our tight-knit community will then second shoot. My friends and colleagues in the community are of equal caliber and style to my own; as testament to this, while I have never had an emergency pre-wedding, I have been a 'super sub' myself several times for friends in a bind.
How many images do I receieve?
From most wedding days, we deliver 800-1,200 images. For weekend-long celebrations, this number is often 1,200+ photographs.
How do you help us plan our shot-list and timeline?
Leading up to the wedding day I will communicate with you and your planner to build a timeline that allows you to relax and enjoy your wedding day while giving us ample time to comfortably shoot both the in-between moments and the more formal photos you'd like. Before the wedding day, I'll have you fill out a questionnaire that includes any family and group photos you want to have photographed, as well as can't-miss details. The month of the wedding we'll have a call together to make sure everyone is on the same page and ready to go for the big day.
Why do you shoot detail shots?
You're pouring your heart and soul into the little (or big!) elements that make your wedding day unique and a reflection of your personalities. Those deserve to be styled and photographed in an elevated, timeless manor that are meaningful to you.
I take a lot of pride in the thought-process behind a well-executed detail photo - the subtle positioning, the layers, using florals or elements from your own wedding day (not a 'styling kit') to elevate and evoke emotion and a connection to the image are paramount. I will often work with your planner, stylist, and calligrapher before the wedding to showcase that.
